IX International Legal Conference ‘Current issues and analysis of practical application of laws to the gas and oil industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan’ held in Atyrau.

IX International Legal Conference "Current issues and the analysis of the practical application of laws to the gas and oil industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan’ held in Atyrau on April 22, 2011 brought together 252 participants.

There were two items on the Conference agenda:

1.      The new Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘On subsoil and subsoil use’: pros and cons.
2.      Settlement of disputes arising out of subsoil use contracts: domestic and foreign experience.

The Firm’s Partner, Dmitriy Bratus, LLP, spoke at the Conference on the ‘Pledge of Subsoil use rights: Analysis of related regulations’.

The fact that the Conference brought together representatives of the sector’s ministries, the General Prosecutor’s Office, and of the Supreme Court and the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the top managers of local and foreign law firms and oil companies, indicates the national importance of the Conference and its high research and practice value.
