E-licensing of advocacy and notary activities in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan has begun implementing a new e-licensing system.

From August 15^th 2011 the Committee of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the registration and provision of legal advice will only be issuing e-licences to engage in advocacy and notary activities.

Under Clause 2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Licensing, an e-license is a license in the form of an electronic document executed and issued with the use of information technologies, equivalent to a license in hard copy.
