Lex Analitik Training Centre would like to invite you to attend a seminar on “State Inspections. Liaising effectively with state authorities”.

Duration of the seminar: 2 days (16 hours)

The purpose of the Seminar is to teach you and your company employees how to use your rights effectively in the course of state inspection. Skills and knowledge you acquire at the seminar will help you stay on top of any given situation, control the process of inspection and generally feel calm and confident prior to and during state inspections of your company.

The Seminar will examine in detail the Law ‘On state control and supervision in the Republic of Kazakhstan’ which came into effect on January 6, 2011. You will learn about the safeguards guaranteed by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and put in place by an officially prescribed set of procedures in order to protect businesses against unlawful actions of the state officials in the course of state inspections.

Advantage of the Seminar is a comprehensive approach to the issue of state inspections of a business. First and foremost, we are striving to examine in great details the respective legal framework to give you a clear understanding of your rights, liabilities and responsibilities as a business. We will also look at the process of a state inspection from the psychological point of view and how your employees can mentally prepare for it.

Practical application of the Law will be examined in detail on the example of a standard state inspection by the Labour Protection authorities. For that purpose we are inviting an experienced inspector, who is a representative of Almaty Labour and Social Protection Department.

State inspections of industrial and fire safety will also be covered as a separate item. State inspections carried out by tax authorities and the Public prosecution office, which is beyond the scope of this Law, will also be examined.

Having completed the seminar you will have an understanding of:

• Regulations introduced by the Law ‘On state control and supervision in the Republic of Kazakhstan’;
• Who, when and how often has a right to inspect your business;
• What the limits of their authority are;
• What rights your Company is entitled to during state inspections;
• How long state inspections should take;   
• Possible ways to legally influence the results of an inspection;
• The liability of state authorities for any violations committed during their inspection;
• How to assess inspection related risks for your Company and what measures to take to minimise these risks;
• How to appeal against the results of state inspections before more senior governmental authorities or in court;
• How to conduct oneself appropriately during state inspections;
• How to correctly reply to the questions posed by the state authorities;
• How to disclose only as much information as is required under legislation;
• How your employees should react to the psychological pressure brought by the state authorities.
